Everybody Health & Leisure in Cheshire East are to stage free gym and swim membership and free places on their multi activity days during the Easter holidays.

These are for children and young people in receipt of benefits-related free school meals.

The event, organised by RunThrough, took part in a loop on closed roads starting and finishing close to Nantwich town square.

An exhibition paying tribute to Crewe suffragist Ada Chew is moving to a final venue in the town before leaving the area.

An appeal has gone out for volunteers to take part in wildflower plug planting session at Brookfield Park in Nantwich this Saturday.

Sustainable Nantwich are organising the event and want volunteers to help plant hundreds of wildflower plants which have been grown by Cheshire Wildlife Trust.

Service and parade to mark 80 years since hero pilot crashed in Nantwich

This Sunday will mark 80 years to the day since pilot Lt Arthur Brown diverted his World War Two plane away from Nantwich town centre before crashing close to the river.

To mark the occasion, a service will be held at St Mary’s followed by a parade to the “Airman’s Grave” off Shrewbridge Road which marks the spot the plane crashed.
