Nantwich Museum is planning an exhibition to commemorate the 80th anniversary of both VE Day on May 8 and VJ Day on August 15.
And they have appealed for members of the public to help them!

Nantwich will hold its annual commemoration this weekend of the Second World War airman who gave his life to the town.
Lieutenant Arthur Brown was the heroic United States Army Air Force pilot who steered his out of control warplane away from the town.
“The Royal Rumble” exhibition opened today (January 7) at Nantwich Museum and runs until Saturday February 8.
The exhibition showcases the English Civil War collections of the Grosvenor Museum, Chester.

The first walk of the Nantwich ‘Men Walking and Talking’ group in 2025 took place on New Year’s Day.
The group aims to bring local men together for a community initiative aimed at improving mental health and physical wellbeing.
The popular ‘Tea at the Tower’ guided walks from St Mary’s Church in Acton are to continue in 2025.
The first walk is on Sunday (January 5) will take participants on a leisurely four-mile route.
Men in Nantwich are invited to kick off the New Year with a weekly walk designed to support mental health and wellbeing.
The next “Men Walking and Talking” group walk will take place this Wednesday New Year’s Day at 2pm, starting at the Nantwich War Memorial.
Richmond Villages Nantwich has been named as headline sponsor for the annual Battle of Nantwich re-enactment.
The event, to take place on January 25, draws thousands of visitors each year.
Nantwich Museum have launched four Civil War talks for January 2025, which will all take place in the Museum’s Millennium Gallery.
They start on Thursday January 9th at 7pm with “Communication and Propaganda in the English Civil War” by Helen Cooke.
The Dabbers Dash is set to bring festive cheer to Nantwich with a special “Elf Run” tomorrow (Sunday 22nd December) from 9am.
The informal and inclusive run, walk, or wheel event will raise vital funds for St Luke’s Hospice.

Nantwich traders have helped transform the town into a festive wonderland with their Christmas window displays.
The town’s shops have crafted magical shopfronts to entice visitors with displays featuring Father Christmas, festive wreaths, cascades of twinkling lights and snowy street scenes.
Residents and visitors can take part in a festive pre-Christmas stroll at the next St Mary’s Acton ‘Tea at the Tower’ Guided Walk on Sunday December 22.
The walk begins at St Mary’s Church on Monks Lane at 2pm. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 1.45pm to allow time to gather
