The annual “Holly Fair” at Wells Green Methodist Church in Wistaston has been hailed a big success.
In the entrance hall there was a prize raffle, red, green and silver stall, and a tombola.

Hundreds of people enjoyed the Wistaston Community Council Fireworks Display, amid warnings future events could be in doubt due to a lack of volunteers.
The event last night (November 4) took place at the Eric Swan Sports Ground/Brittles Pavilion off Church Lane in Wistaston.

The 67th annual Cancer Research UK Xmas Fair will take place at Wistaston Memorial Hall on November 18.
The event will run from 10am to 3pm, and children will be able to visit Father Christmas (£5 per child) and receive a present from him.

The Wistaston Community Council ‘Fireworks Display’ will take place on Saturday November 4 – but without the traditional parade due to a lack of volunteers.
The event normally includes a Torchlight, Fancy Dress & Pumpkin Parade through the village.

The annual Wistaston Jubilee Tennis Club (WJTC) Finals Day was held on two courts behind Wistaston Memorial Hall & Community Centre.
Bill Heath (WJTC Chairman) compered the event and presented the trophies.

Hundreds of villagers turned out in force to enjoy Wistaston’s annual Duck Race and Children’s model boat race.
The 26th ‘Annual Community Duck Race and Children’s Model Boat Race’ took place at the Joey the Swan parkland area, and organised by volunteers from Wistaston Community Council village events team and Wistaston Memorial Hall.

Britain in Bloom judges from The Royal Horticultural Society toured Wistaston to judge the village in the Town category of the Britain in Bloom 2023 UK Finals.
Two judges met chairman of Wistaston Parish Council John Moore and members of the Wistaston in Bloom group and Wistaston Conservation Group.

The 35th South West Cheshire (Wistaston) Scout Group is celebrates its 65th anniversary this year.
The group’s celebrations included a treasure hunt in Wistaston on Saturday with 180 Scouts and family members participating in a “what3words” geocode search.

Wistaston Singers annual ‘Summer Concert’ will take place on Saturday July 15 at St Stephen’s Methodist Church on Gainsborough Road in Crewe.
It will start at 3pm with singing performed by the choir. The concert will last approximately two hours.
Tributes have been paid to a popular teacher and musician from Wistaston who has died.
Robert Richardson was well known in the area for his drumming, and was often seen performing at major local events such as Remembrance Sundays and Battle of Nantwich.

The annual Wistaston Village Fete proved a big hit as hundreds of people enjoyed the event.
It was organised by the Wistaston Community Council and took place at Wistaston Church Lane Academy on Church Lane.
