A former coach at Nantwich Town has teamed up with an ex-footballer to launch a new club in the town.
Lyndon Wain, who was football development officer for the Dabbers, and Nick Burrows are behind the creation of Nantwich United Football Club.

Nantwich Town forward Callum Saunders has agreed to sign for the Dabbers for the 2026/27 season.
Saunders surpassed the 150-appearance mark for Nantwich during last year’s campaign.
Nantwich Town goalkeeper Ben Garratt is to step away from football after more than two years at the Swansway Stadium.
The 32-year-old joined in February 2024 and signed a two-year contract shortly after which ended on the completion of the 2025/26 season.
Defender Troy Bourne has agreed to rejoin Nantwich Town after a season at Warrington Town.
Bourne, 28, made 304 appearances over a 10-year period for the Dabbers after making his senior debut in November 2015 at just 17 years old.
Nantwich Town have made several key signings as they rebuild over the summer ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
The Dabbers most recent signing is midfielder Ethan Hartshorn who joins from Congleton Town.

The Crewe Regional Sunday League campaigns were brought to a close as Alderman FC and Nantwich Pirates ended their seasons with a 3-3 draw.
