A man has been found dead at a house in Audlem today, sparking a police investigation.
The man was found at a house on Emberton Place at around 2.10pm today.
Emergency services were called out and the road cordoned off after receiving calls about “concerns for welfare” at a house on the road.
The man has not been identified at this stage.
Crime scene investigators and detectives are on the scene along with other emergency crews.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 2.11pm today, Tuesday 14 July, police were called to concerns for welfare at an address in the Emberton Place area of Audlem.
“Officers and colleagues from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service attended and, sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and a number of enquiries are ongoing.
“However, officers are keen to reassure residents that there is no risk to the wider community.”
