A butcher who stabbed three people after a night out in Crewe has been jailed for 12 years.
Marian Minu, 34, of Nantwich Road, Crewe, was jailed at Chester Crown Court after pleading guilty to one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, two counts of causing grevious bodily harm and one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The incident happened at 4am on Sunday March 4 outside a nightclub on Nantwich Road.
Minu (pictured) had an argument with another man who punched him and threw him to the floor.
Minu then walked to his home, opposite where the assault had taken place, armed himself with a knife and went to confront the man who had assaulted him.
After arguing with the man, a 29-year-old man from Crewe, Minu lunged at him, stabbing him twice in the stomach and once in the back.
Two of the man’s friends then tried to intervene and they were also stabbed by Minu who then ran off.
A 27-year-old man received a stab wound to the leg and a 37-year-old man received a stab wound to the arm.
Detective Constable Nicolas Jackson said: “Minu had been arguing with the victim before he was assaulted by him.
“But instead of calling the police and going home he deliberately armed himself and launched a vicious attack on three men.
“He is extremely lucky that he didn’t kill someone.
“All the men needed hospital treatment and this is exactly why the Constabulary takes incidents of knife crime so seriously.
“Small incidents can escalate very quickly.”
