A grant of £250 has been recommended for the Nantwich Town Crier Committee towards their £2,500 bid to hold a Town Crier Competition in early 2014.

The money will help organisers pay for equipment, advertising and trophies.

The instructors  will complete a training course before running the club’s introductory sessions in 2014.

Work needed includes damp proof courses, new roofs, insulation and decoration.

Audlem & District Community Action is in line for £1,500 towards funding additional storage to accommodate new chairs.

They also plan to buy a metal shed for storage.

And Milldale Scout Camp’s £10,000 project is set to obtain a £2,000 grant to renovate a 20-year-old toilet block at the site.
