wingate centre fun day

Wingate Children’s Centre in Wrenbury near Nantwich will be hosting a Family Fun Day to promote the launch of a new programme of sports activities.

The fun day, on Saturday September 20, will include gymnastic displays, face painting, bouncy castle, cake stall, dance workshop, sports activities, a treasure hunt, tombola and a variety of stalls.

“We are really looking forward to what will be a fun-filled morning of activities,” said Catherine Moore, event and fundraising manager at the centre.

“But we are also very keen to showcase the full extent of the centre’s facilities to give a better understanding of the charity and what it offers.

“Many local people know we offer gymnastic classes and birthday parties, but we now also offer a range of family friendly activities such as Family Fun, Soft Play, Multi Sports, Dance, Pilates and Adult Fitness.

“We also want to draw peoples’ attention to the fact we are a charity that offers specialist accommodation and sporting activities for children with all levels of disability including those with profound and complex needs.

“We hope that the fun day will encourage people to come along and find out a little bit more about us.

“The treasure hunt, for example, will take visitors around the centre showing them the extensive specialist facilities we have in place to provide residential support for disabled children.”

Activities will start at 10am and continue through to 2pm.

Entry is free, there will be a small charge for some of activities to help raise funds for the centre.
