Adam Lovatt - Audlem man death

The family of an Audlem man who died after a late night incident outside a pub, have paid tribute to him.

Relatives of tragic Adam Lovatt spoke out as police confirmed four people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

In a statement, the 45-year-old’s family said: “Adam was a loving family man who will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.”

Officers were called to reports of an incident outside the Bridge Inn, Shropshire Street, Audlem shortly after 1am on Friday (May 25).

They found Adam with serious injuries and he taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Cheshire Police say four people have been arrested in connection with his death and inquiries are continuing.

A 23-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and released on police bail.

A 34-year-old local man has also been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and released under investigation.

A 44-year-old man from Shrewsbury has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and a 58-year-old woman from Shrewsbury has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Both have been released under investigation.
