Pre-match - The FA Cup Trophy on display at the Weaver Stadium as officials, mascots and players emerge from the tunnel (1)

Nantwich Town will welcome King’s Lynn Town to Weaver Stadium in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Today’s draw pitched the Dabbers against a team flying high in the National League North, one tier above.

So Dave Cooke’s men face a tough task to reach the First Round proper for only the third time in their history.

But earlier in the competition they convincingly beat Telford United 3-0 away, who play in same league as King’s Lynn.

However, Nantwich’s latest opponents have lost just twice in 12 league outings this season and sit in third place in their league, just four points behind leaders York City.

Victorious clubs in the fourth round qualifying will earn £18,750 from The FA prize fund (the losers will collect £6,250).

And could secure a tie against the likes of League One giants and former cup winners Sunderland, Ipswich Town or Coventry City.

The fourth round qualifying ties will take place over the weekend of Saturday October 19, with the first round matches taking place a few weeks later on November 9.
