Crewe Lyceum Theatre is to host a variety of productions during February.

Something About Simon arrives in South Cheshire on Tuesday February 4 following a successful 2019 tour which included dates in Edinburgh and NYC.

The one man show celebrates the life and music of the phenomenal Paul Simon.

Created in Liverpool by Gary Edward Jones, a natural storyteller who weaves together songs and stories to portray Simon’s life impeccably.

On February 9, The Cat FM radio station will stage its “Sunday Night at the Lyceum” event.

All money raised through ticket sales will be used to support Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity Lost Little Ones Baby Bereavement Suite.

It will feature a live performance from dysfunctional family from The Cat breakfast and drive time shows, The Bradshaws with a live Buzz Hawkins performance.

Appearing alongside will be a local supergroup formed especially for the occasion by Megan Lee, Callum Wright and Oli Ng, as well as Nantwich Concert Band, Catherine Fraser School of Irish Dance, Matrix Dance Squad, poet Helen Kay, Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Choir The Nightingales and Crewe Town Lions Under 9s.

Tickets are now available from the Lyceum Box Office – Adult tickets are £15, Children £8.50, Concessions £12.50 and a family ticket for two adults and two children only £40.

After a successful 2019 UK Tour, ONE NIGHT IN DUBLIN will play at Crewe Lyceum on Sunday February 16.

Join the award-winning Irish band The Wild Murphys and their acclaimed Murphy’s Pub in Crewe.

The Wild Murphys features traditional Irish musicians playing a mix of traditional and contemporary tunes guaranteed to have the audience’s hands clapping and toes tapping all night long.

The seven-piece live band is headed by lead singer Middi Murphy alongside Trevor Brewis (Jimmy Nail) on drums, Tony Davis (Prelude) on keys and the BBC award-winning fiddle player Sophy Ball on fiddle.

And on February 20, comedian Matt Forde’s show “Brexit, Pursued By A Bear” arrives at Crewe Lyceum before he goes on a national tour.

The former advisor to the Labour Party has hosted four series of “Unspun” on Dave.

The highly topical political comedy chat received a nomination for the Best Entertainment Programme Broadcast Digital Award last year, following a nomination for the same award in the previous year.
