Cheshire Police are advertising for yet another new Chief Constable.
The salary is £156,693 per year.
Which is nearly as much as the Prime Minister is paid for doing TWO jobs, PM and MP.
No wonder that the Police Council Tax in Cheshire is so high and is going up yet again this year, despite the fact that many people in Cheshire are having to get by on a lower salary/wages, due to the Lockdown.
To pay £3000 per WEEK to the Chief Constable is ridiculous.
‘Putting Crewe First’ says that top salaries in Government, Local Government and the Public Services need to be cut.
The fat cats have had it too good for too long and the poor workers have had to fork out to pay their enormous, unjustified salaries.

I am not a supporter of Mr Silvester but he does have a point, these wages are ridiculous it’s no good cutting off your nose because of Mr Silvesters past record and it’s not very often he is right, this maybe the seldom occasion i feel he might be..
Jealousy or what? It took Parish Cllr Silvester 8 failed attempts to register Putting Crewe First before approval (just checked the official website).
It is a pity he does not devote time to having a web site for his party. You can’t find anything other than letters to various publications.
I am amazed after Mr Sylvesters last ridiculous and outright dangerous submission that you have even printed this piece. His intelligence is widely questioned and once again he has proved us right.
Please go back to your non-descript pointless party politics with all your supporters, both of them.
