A new shop all about dogs is set to open in Nantwich town centre this weekend.
Canine Creations Cheshire will open on Pillory Street this Saturday November 15.
Canine Creations, run by Zoe Schofield and partner Nick, started out on Nantwich Market a few years ago selling handmade dog treats.
Since then, her business has blossomed and for the past two years they have based at Regents Park in Nantwich.
Zoe said: “We’re so excited to be opening our very own shop front!
“The shop will feature our handmade and natural dog treats, along with our own exclusively designed harness range — all designed by us.
“We’ve also collaborated with local businesses and artists to offer hand-designed cushions – which can feature your own pet – as well as beautiful dog portraits to complement our handmade blankets, snoods, and snuggle sacks. Just to offer something different.”
The new shop will have a small front with stock to buy and a bakery in the back which visitors can view and watch the team preparing the doggy treats and cakes.
Zoe said she came up with the business idea during Covid lockdown when she struggled to find treats that suited their dog Winston, who had allergies.
“It meant we had to pay close attention to the contents of his food and treats,” she said.
“Everything we were looking for wasn’t easy to find and so we decided to fix that.
“So we started baking our own. From there, it grew into what we have today — we now handcraft treats, doughnuts, pupcakes, themed goodies, and so much more.
“We decided to build a brand consisting of high quality treats, eco-friendly products and packaging.”
The store is offering hand-made dog treats such as pupcakes, bones, gingerbread men and more.
All visitors on the opening day will receive a free bone (for the dog), and the first five to arrive can grab a free pupcake.
