Young footballers across Cheshire enjoyed a festive showcase when the Holdcroft Motors Copa Del Christmas Youth Tournament took place at Nantwich Town.
The two-day event held by the NTA made full use of the club’s FIFA Grade 3G pitch.
The tournament featured Under 8s, Under 9s and Under 10s age groups, with four competitions played involving 50 teams, 200 matches and 16 finals.
Local clubs including Crewe Town, Crewe FC, AFC Alsager, Cheshire Blades, Nantwich Town and NTA teams were joined by sides across the North West such as Preston City, Footytotz, Stocky Bilbao and Pex Hill.
One of the standout moments for players came during the finals, where youngsters were treated to a Champions League-style tunnel entrance with music over the public address system, before trophy presentations for winners and runners-up.
Spectators were able to watch the action from covered seating and standing areas, while refreshments were available throughout the weekend from The Tea Lounge.

A NTA spokesperson said: “This was our first tournament as the newly formed NTA (formed summer 2025) and it was a great success.
“We would like to thank Holdcroft Motors for their sponsorship and support. Without key sponsors like Holdcroft Motors and our volunteers these tournaments wouldn’t be possible.
“It’s extremely rewarding to take a step back and see how much each team enjoys the events.
“The champions league entrance for the finals & trophy presentations are particular highlights of each tournament.
“Nantwich Town has an excellent facility for all kinds of events from football tournaments to Weddings with ample parking along & fantastic food provided by the tea lounge.
“We’re extremely fortunate and grateful to be able hold tournaments at such a prestigious venue.”
