A driver had to be cut free from wreckage after a collision with a tractor on a busy road between Nantwich and Church Minshull.

The accident happened on the B5074 south of Church Minshull at around 11.45am yesterday (Jan 16th) and fire crews from Winsford and Crewe were called to the scene.

They found one person trapped in their vehicle following the crash.

A Cheshire Fire spokesperson said: “Fire crews carried out a side door removal of the car following a collision with a tractor.

“The casualty was safely released from the vehicle and handed over to the care of North West Ambulance Service to be taken to the hospital for further assessment.

“Firefighters made the vehicle safe and packed away equipment.

“Highways have been requested to support the clean up, and once safe, the road should be reopened.”

  1. I mean the bloak was in his 70s and was pretty much stationary so i think you ought to wind your neck in

  2. doesn’t say what happened in the article, but I bet a driver overtook the tractor, issue is that road is very dangerous to overtake anyway, I have seen a lot of near misses, I would think as the tractor is so wide it would be more a case of staying back for a while. that road needs looking at as accidents keep happening there

Probably on his phone like most of the lads I see bounding around all over the place in these John Deere or Fendt tractors.
Just because they’ve done a charity run doesn’t mean they’re above the law.
