Nantwich Town Women continued their flying start to the season with a fantastic 5-1 win in the First Round Qualifying of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup – stretching their unbeaten run to six matches.
The Dabbers, already five games unbeaten in the North West Women’s Regional League Division One South, brushed aside Lymm Rovers Women at the Swansway Stadium.
Manager Dan Mellor made two changes, handing teenager Abi Poulton her first start for the Dabbers, while new signing Meg Baldwin took her place on the bench.
After reaching the First Round Proper of the Women’s FA Cup last season, hopes are high for another exciting cup run.
Lymm took an early lead, but Poulton quickly made her mark, scoring her debut goal to level the score before half-time.
The second half then turned into a Dabbers masterclass – with Jade Buckley-Ratcliff on target and star striker Amanda Fallon bagging a brilliant hat-trick to secure safe passage into the next round.

Beth Ragdale earned the GOAT Player of the Match award.
The Player’s Player of the Match went to Jade Buckley-Ratcliff, who capped a performance with a superb long-range strike.
Unfortunately, her day ended with an injury late in the game, and everyone at the club wishes her a speedy recovery.
Manager Dan Mellor said: “Really proud of the girls with that win, we started poor but really rallied in the second half and were worthy winners.
“Full credit to the opposition, who made it a really tough first half and pushed us all the way. We had to work hard to get on top of the game.
“In the second half the team showed great togetherness, quality and belief to take control and get the result.
“More importantly though, our thoughts are with Jade, who’s in hospital tonight with a suspected broken arm.
“She gave everything for the team and we’ll all be rallying around her. This win is for her.”
The Development Squad picked up their first victory of the season in the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League Premier Division, beating Wythenshawe FC 3-2 away thanks to goals from E. Harrison and a brace from L. Allen.
