five top comedians for Nantwich show

Five top comedians will bring the laughs to Nantwich at the next Very Best In Stand Up show on October 3rd.

Pete Otway will be compering the second show of the new season.

Otway received a BBC New Comedy Award nominee as a relative newcomer, after making leap from dairy farmer to gagsmith.

These days, he is heavily in demand on the UK comedy circuit as a compere and closing act and he’s also a BBC radio host too.

The first act will be playing Nantwich for the last time, and those who have seen Raymond and Timpkins before know they will be sorely missed once they hang up their props next year.

Those who have seen the act before will know it’s one of the best comedy half hours on the entire circuit.

In our middle section, Liam Farrelly will be making his Nantwich debut.

Farrelly has been making major waves on the comedy scene for the past couple of years and has gone from relative newbie to selling out Edinburgh shows and appearing on BBC’s ‘Live At The Apollo’.

The razor sharp Glaswegian is a natural performer who is at complete ease on stage.

And the final headline act is the incomparable Carey Marx, winner of the Best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival.

Marx has actually won that accolade twice and his show ‘Intensive Carey’ became a BBC Radio 4 hit and he’s long been in demand as a closing act that leaves you wanting more.

Tickets are on sale now, priced at £12.

You can pick them up online at www.civiccomedy.co.uk or by calling Nantwich Civic Hall on 01270 628633.
