South Cheshire Harriers 20-mile road race

South Cheshire Harriers are to stage two races in one day – and both finishing at the Secret Bunker near Nantwich!

The “Secret Half & Secret 20 Miler” will take place on March 15 next year and entries are now open.

The “Secret Half” is described as half the elevation of the Wilmslow Half, and 100ft less climb than Village Bakery Half.

“It is the perfect race for getting that PB! It’s got the same elevation gain as Crewe parkrun,” said a Harriers spokesperson.

The “Secret 20 miler” has 280ft of climb over 20 miles so is described as one of the faster routes available.

“Ideally placed for a spring marathon – only five weeks before Manchester and six weeks before London, perfect to see how your marathon prep is going,” added the spokesperson.

The 20 miler offers a £100 prize for 1st place, with an additional £100 for the course record.

As it’s a new course, first male and first female home will each receive £200 prize money.

Both races will begin at Mickley Hall and after two (Half) or three (20-Miler) loops will end at nearby Hack Green Secret Bunker.

There will also be an Event Village with a bar, a bouncy castle and entertainment, and discounted entry to the Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker and their cafe on the day.

Entries open to over 18s only.
