Nantwich has welcomed a new travel agency to the town centre.
Global Travel & Cruise officially opened its doors yesterday (March 14th) on High Street in the historic Queen’s Aid House.
It is an independent travel agency with over 25 years’ experience arranging cruises, beach holidays, safaris, city breaks and more.
It launched on the Wirral in 2001 where it has two branches in Neston and West Kirby.
Shop manager Sarah said: “We have officially opened our doors in Nantwich, and we truly couldn’t have wished for more perfect weather.
“The sunshine, combined with the wonderful artisan market on the square, meant the town was buzzing with excitement.”
Nantwich Mayor Cllr Mary Slinn and Nantwich Town Crier Devlin Hobson were on hand for the official opening.
“Dev quite literally stopped the traffic to give us the most wonderfully animated introduction before the Mayor officially opened the store and cut the ribbon at our new home, Queen’s Aid House.
“Built shortly after the great Nantwich fire of 1583, the Elizabethan merchant’s house has been part of Nantwich life for centuries.
“We feel incredibly proud to now be part of its story.
“The coffee shops were full, the market was thriving, and our fellow independent traders all played their part in creating the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes this beautiful Cheshire town so special.
“Community is clearly at the very heart of Nantwich.
“We met literally hundreds of well-wishers throughout the day and really hope you enjoyed our small gestures of bubbles and pastries while you popped in to say hello.
“It was wonderful to speak with so many people who are deeply involved in the community – we can’t wait to get involved too. ”
