Former Nantwich Town manager Jon Moran has been appointed as first team coach at Leek Town.
Moran joins the club’s backroom team following the departure of Carl Dickinson, who left in April to become first team manager at Chasetown.
Moran enjoyed a successful playing career as a defender after progressing through the academy at Crewe Alexandra.
He went on to represent clubs including Nantwich Town, Forest Green Rovers, Chester, Bradford Park Avenue and Stafford Rangers, before returning to Nantwich in 2022.
In October 2024, Moran stepped into the managerial role at Nantwich following the departure of Paul Carden.
He remained in charge until resigning his position earlier this year in January.
Leek Town manager Josh Brehaut said: “I’m delighted to have Jon as part of my backroom staff and I’m looking forward to working with him.
“He is very well respected in the game and is also very well connected.”
Leek Town supporters have also been encouraged to give Moran a warm welcome as he begins his new role at the club.
