Popular TV vet Steve Leonard gave a talk at Nantwich Museum about the plight of the orang-utans.
Steve (pictured, centre), has experience of working with the animals in Borneo and spoke about the importance of conservation in protecting them.
All proceeds from the talk were donated to the Orang-utan Land Trust.
The talks are being held alongside an art exhibition organised by RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre at the Pillory Street museum.
The exhibition includes artists from around the world and highlights endangered species and the work of organisations and charities.
Steve said: “It’s well worth a look, some of the pictures are absolutely stunning…they are breath-taking…beautiful, absolutely beautiful.”
An interview with Steve will be aired on the “Close up in the Community” show on www.thisisthecat.com this Friday September 9, between 1pm and 3pm.
The next talk is this Thursday September 8 when Pollyanna Pickering will discuss her charity and art work currently on display in the museum.
The final talk is on September 23 by David Sheppard, who is representing the Born Free Tiger Sanctuary.
