Crewe & Nantwich 1sts suffered a heavy defeat to Walsall, the club who were promoted alongside the Vagrants outfit last season.

It was an uncharacteristically slow start by Crewe which led to a difficult first half as the hosts conceded several tries to an impressive Walsall side.

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC 2nds beaten 14-24 by Liverpool

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC 2nds kicked off their season with a narrow defeat at home to Liverpool Collegiate 2nds at the Vagrants.

The game started badly for Crewe with turnover ball from the kick off and a series of drives from the Collegiate pack allowing their fly-half to cross unopposed kick to make it 5-0 after just three minutes.
