Campaigners fighting to reverse plans for four Sure Start children’s centres in South Cheshire have vowed to continue their fight.
Protesters gathered outside a Cheshire East Council scrutiny committee calling for the council to stop the de-designation of Nantwich children’s centre on Dog Lane, and those in Knutsford, Sandbach and Broken Cross.
Campaigners fighting Cheshire East Council plans to close Nantwich children’s centre, claim the authority could face a big bill from the Government.
Cheshire East wants to de-designate the centre on Dog Lane in Nantwich and run it as a mobile service, as part of a measure to save £500,000 a year.

Children’s Centres including one in Nantwich, look set to close after Cheshire East Council budget proposals were approved today.
