Lauren chartered boardroom (1)

A financial planner from Nantwich has been awarded one of the top honours in the profession.

Lauren Tudor, of Nantwich firm Atherton & Associates Wealth Management, has achieved Chartered Financial Planner status.

It’s regarded as one of the highest professional qualifications available in the UK financial planning profession.

Lauren, a mother of two, joined Atherton & Associates in 2021, and her achievement reflects years of professional development.

Awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Chartered Financial Planner status is widely recognised as the gold standard within financial planning.

Lauren said: “Becoming a Chartered Financial Planner is a milestone that I am incredibly proud to have achieved.

“Financial planning is about much more than numbers – it’s about helping people make informed decisions, achieve their goals and gain confidence in their future.

“The knowledge and expertise gained through achieving Chartered status will help me continue to provide the highest level of support to my clients.”

Chartered status is held by a small proportion of financial planners in the UK and represents a commitment to professional study, development and ethical standards.

Women are set to inherit the majority of transferred wealth over the coming decades, yet fewer than one in five UK financial advisers are female and fewer than one in four Chartered Financial Planners are women.

Research shows many women value working with advisers who understand the unique financial challenges they may face throughout their lives, from career breaks, divorce and caring responsibilities to inheritance, retirement and later-life planning.
