Officers in Cheshire are using a new tool to protect vulnerable residents from telephone scammers.
The call blocker devices have been used in Nantwich as well as other towns like Crewe, Alsager, Knutsford and Chester.
Detectives are urging Nantwich and Crewe residents to be vigilant following a spate of hoax calls from scammers claiming to be police officers acting on behalf of HMRC.
