The Very Best in Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall next week with another top bill of acts kicking off a new season.

And compere and host for the opening show of the year on February 1 show is Jonathon Mayor – one of the UK’s most memorable MCs.

Mayor has made his name by combining hilarious audience interaction and glamming up in the most glitzy, glittery outfits.

These days, he is rarely seen in the outfits, but with over 10 years’ experience on the circuit, he is sure to keep the audience on the edge of their seat.

First act of the night is Sean Percival, a straight-talking Brummie who gave up life as a welder to travel the country as a stand up.

His honest and realistic approach to life harbours great material which is pretty much as straight down the line as you’re going to get.

Lloyd Langford (pictured) is best known for starring in the BBC panel show “Ask Rhod Gilbert” alongside Greg Davies and his flatmate Rhod.

Lloyd has also plied his stand up comedy on “Russell Howard’s Good News” and “Dave’s One Night Stand”.

He also writes for “8 out of 10 cats”, “Mock The Week” and “Have I Got News For You”.

And closing the show is the gag machine Dan Evans.

For over 20 years he’s delighted audiences with his brand of comedy.

He has also become a TV writer in that time, working on cult shows such as  “The 11’o’Clock Show”, “Rory Bremner – Who Else” and also several shows with his long time comedy buddy Milton Jones.

Drawing comparisons to Harry Hill and working with Milton on a regular basis should give you an idea what to expect when he takes to the stage in Nantwich.

The show takes place on Friday February 1. Tickets are £10, available from Nantwich Civic Hall and www.civiccomedy.co.uk

Doors 7.15pm, show 8.15pm.
