Nantwich Players opened their new season with One Man, Two Guvnors.
Adapted by Richard Bean, the play is based on The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni originally written and performed in 1746.
Live comedy returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday September 6 with a top line up of acts to kick off a new season of The Very Best In Stand Up.
Barbara Nice will be compere for the opening night – known as the alter-ego of Stockport comedian Janice Connolly!
The final “Very Best In Stand Up” of the current season rolls into Nantwich on June 7.
And organisers have lined up four more top comedy acts to finish off the 14th season at Nantwich Civic Hall.

Geoff Norcott brings his “Basic Bloke” UK tour to Crewe Lyceum on March 22.
Norcott is familiar face on TV appearing on Have I Got News For You, A League Of Their Own, The Last Leg, Would I Lie to You?, Live At The Apollo, 8 Out of Ten Cats, Backstage With Katherine Ryan and others.
Nantwich Players are to stage an uproarious Christmas family production of “Rules for Living” by Sam Holcroft.
Directed by Jeremy Acklam, this comedy will have you laughing, nodding in recognition, and reflecting on your own family’s quirks.
