Nick Allsopp, of Peter Wilson auctioneers, and toys

The toys are back in town – thanks to Nantwich auctioneer Peter Wilson!

The Market Street auction house will be hosting a sale with a difference on November 5, just in time for Christmas.

Collectables of classic toys from Thunderbirds, Batman, Space 1999, and teddy bears galore will be up for grabs at the sale.

One Crewe man’s lifetime collection of mint and mostly boxed toys like this large model of Thunderbird 2 (pictured) is being sold.

It’s estimated to fetch around £300-400.

The 140-plus lots collection also includes a host of Captain Scarlet, and Avengers memorabilia.

And there is a large quantity of James Bond 007 die-cast cars and figurines.

Other owners have consigned nine dolls’ houses and enough teddy bears to make several picnics, many of them by leading German maker Steiff.

Many collectors will view them as good long-term investments.

In total, the sale is expected to raise more than £8,000.

Viewing is at the Victoria Galleries in Market Street, Nantwich, on Wednesday November 4 from 9am-5pm and on the morning of the sale, which starts at 1pm.
