Midnight Walk in aid of St Luke's Hospice

This year’s St Luke’s Hospice Midnight Walk between Nantwich and Crewe is stepping back to the 80s!

The popular annual fundraiser is returning on Saturday June 30, and organisers are encouraging ladies to go all ‘footloose’ for this year’s event.

Reaseheath College in Nantwich will again host the start and finish lines.

Ladies can choose to do either a half-moon six-mile walk or the full 13.1 mile challenge.

Debra Sloan, events fundraiser for St Luke’s, said: “Whether you take part every year or are thinking about joining us for the first time, it’s a unique and inspiring way to remember those we love who are no longer with us, or to support the wonderful care at St Luke’s, whilst having fun at the same time.

“Our amazing army of ladies raise hundreds in sponsorship, which altogether helps to raise around £175,000 for St Luke’s each year.

“This year we’ve chosen an 80s theme to celebrate the 30th anniversary of St Luke’s opening its doors to patients.

“So get together your female family and friends and make this the biggest and best Midnight Walk yet!”

The Midnight Walk is being sponsored this year by Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc based in Winsford.

Chief Executive Officer Chris Meredith said: “We have many employees with family members across the Cheshire region that have benefited so much from the care provided by St Luke’s during such difficult times and so we are delighted to be able to help with sponsorship of such an important event in the St Luke’s fundraising calendar.

“AMS believes in supporting the local communities in which we operate and our sponsorship of the Midnight Walk is just one of the events and worthy causes we want to support. We hope as many of our employees, families and friends as possible will get involved, either by walking or volunteering.”

Registration is £20 which includes a new t-shirt design for 2018 and pre-walk entertainment and warm up.
