very best in stand up

The Very Best In Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall next week with a top line-up of hilarious comedians.

All four acts will be making their debuts in Nantwich as the 2020 funny season kicks off in style on Friday February 7.

First act is the wonderful Fin Taylor.

Making his debut in Nantwich, Fin has made a name for himself as one of the most talked about comedians working in the UK.

His last three Edinburgh shows were 5-star sell-out runs, and cemented his reputation as a fiercely funny and uncompromising social commentator.

In 2018, Fin made his debut appearance on the revered ‘Live At The Apollo’ to critical acclaim.

Canadian Allyson June Smith commands every stage she walks onto with her own dynamite brand of hilarious material.

Her show is driven by the strong rhythms that are a hallmark of so much North American stand-up.

Her bold, observational style saw her quickly achieve prominence in Canada with credits including her own hour-long TV comedy special, radio shows and festival appearances.

She has also been nominated on numerous occasions for the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand Up.

Last up is the fantastic ‘Lost Voice Guy’ aka Lee Ridley, winner of Britain’s Got Talent TV show.

Lee (pictured) is the first stand-up comedian to use a communication aid and made his first stand-up appearance in February 2012.

He has performed in some of the UK’s most popular comedy venues as well as in solo shows at festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe, the Brighton Fringe, Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Leicester Comedy Festival, Nottingham Comedy Festival and Liverpool Comedy Festival.

Lee has appeared on numerous TV shows and has completed a nationwide theatre tour.

Compere and host is rising star Freddie Quinne.

Freddie is an award-winning comedian and has a highly original personality which is simultaneously vulnerable and more than capable of winning over any crowd.

His willingness to break away and involve the crowd leads for an engaging and memorable set backed up with frantic energy and raw emotion.

The show takes place on Friday February 7 and tickets are on sale now priced at £10.

They can be purchased from the Civic Hall direct or online at www.civiccomedy.co.uk
