Burglary prevention advice from police in Nantwich

A number of burglaries in and around Nantwich have sparked a police warning for homeowners.

Local officers released a list of burglaries and attempted break-ins reported to them between May 1 and May 31.

As well as appealing for witnesses or information, police advise homeowners to take precautions as we head into the summer months.

There was a burglary on Badcocks Lane in Spurstow where an outbuilding was broken into and the lock was cut off. Gardening equipment was taken from the outbuilding.

A burglary happened at a property on Whitchurch Road, Burleydam, where a garage door was forced open and gardening equipment was taken.

Another incident happened at a property on London Road in Walgherton where someone entered a building and has stolen a large amount of brass.

There was an attempted break-in at a property in Beam Street, near the centre of Nantwich.

On Comberbach Drive in Stapeley, a man attempted to break into a property via the letterbox.

And on Coole Lane in Newhall there was a report of a shed break in.

  1. Tell them the burglar left a note saying something politically incorrect they’ll soon be round

    Sorry it’s a waste of time to report as when you do the Police say they’ll come but don’t. I even had the tool that could have been used through someone’s letterbox!
