Nantwich Town Women kicked off their pre-season in style with a lively charity match against Crewe Alexandra Legends at the Swansway Stadium.
The Dabbers claimed a 3-1 victory, with Amanda Fallon netting twice and Megan Ragdale also getting on the scoresheet.
Crewe’s O’Reilly grabbed a goal in reply for the Legends.
This year’s match supported two causes close to the team’s heart – Dabbers in the Community and the baby loss charity Sands.
It was a day full of fun, football, and fundraising – with something for everyone.
Fans and families enjoyed a kids’ halftime penalty shootout, a charity raffle, an ice cream van, and plenty of refreshments from the bar.

Nantwich Town Women manager Dan Mellor said: “It was a brilliant day all round, a great performance from the girls, solid 3-1 win and most importantly a good chunk of money raised for 2 fantastic charities.
“Huge credit has to go to Nick, Mickey and the Crewe ladies for making such an enjoyable and competitive game.
“Days like this show the real spirit of football, where two sides can bring the community together, put on a great game and make a difference.”
The Dabbers head into the new season on a high after a history-making campaign that saw them lift the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League Premier Division trophy in dominant style.
Formed in 2020, the team racked up 15 wins from 16 matches last season and finishing nine points clear at the top.
They also made a strong cup run, reaching the First Round Proper of the Women’s FA Cup and the Semi-Finals of the CWYFL Challenge Cup.
Now preparing for the step up to Tier 6 regional football, the squad is gearing up for the 2025/26 season with recent trials bringing fresh talent into the mix.
