A popular children’s day nursery in Stapeley is holding an Open Day later this month.
Parklands, based on First Dig Lane, is offering families a chance to view their setting and spend time together in spacious grounds.
The Open Day, on Saturday August 16, will also help them raise funds for their 2025 charity, Claire House Children’s Hospice.
A Parklands spokesperson said: “Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children make the most of the time they have however long or short that may be.
“By providing specialist nursing and end of life care, as well as emotional support, Claire House helps families through some of the toughest times of their lives.”
The charity is appealing for much-needed donations as their rapid response vehicle which transports patients and necessary equipment where needed is currently off the road.
Parklands opened in January 1997 and is an independent, family-run setting.
The nursery caters for children from birth to school age, is registered for the government funding for parents from nine months old and has some sessions available from September.
“We are well known for our friendly, relaxed and homely atmosphere and are keen for families to experience and enjoy our gorgeous rural setting,” they added.
“Help us raise funds for Claire House to get their vehicle back on the road whilst looking around our beautiful day nursery and enjoying summer fun and games.”
