Malbank results - Chris Hall and staff

The headteacher at Malbank Sixth Form said today he was “immensely proud” at their A Level results.

Results were consistently strong across the board at the Welsh Row school, with sustained improvement seen in the Sixth Form.

Head John Harrison described them as “excellent.”

He added: “We are immensely proud of this year’s Year 13 cohort.

“Their achievements are commendable, and it has been a true privilege to work with such a wonderful group of young people as they move on to the next stage of their lives.”

There was a rise in A*-B equivalent grades and a big increase in the average point score compared to previous years.

Mr Harrison added: “It is pleasing to see we have sustained our journey of improvement in the Sixth Form, it is particularly satisfying to see our A*-B grades improving significantly.

“The vast majority of our students woke to find they had already been accepted into their first-choice destination, mirroring the national picture.

“These results show the success of our inclusive approach to our Sixth Form.

“When we work together, and students focus on their goals and dedicate themselves to hard work, there are no limits to what can be accomplished.

“It is this determination, coupled with the confidence to prioritise their ambitions, that has enabled our young people to achieve such remarkable successes this summer.”

Student Chris Hall (pictured, above) achieved an amazing set of results (A*, A*, A*, A, and A* in EPQ), and departs Malbank to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Balliol College, Oxford.
