
Fire crews across South Cheshire were involved in battling a large blaze on land near Bentley Motors tonight (Sept 19th).
The fire broke out at around 8pm amid a number of reports of a fire in an open area off the A530 Middlewich Road.
Fire crews from Nantwich, Crewe, Middlewich, Sandbach and Alsager were called to the scene where they found a fire involving a number of sheds, hedgerows and trees.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and hose reels to tackle the fire.
The incident was split into sectors and six firefighters used breathing apparatus, four hose reels and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
By 9.15pm the fire was under control and crews were damping down the area. They will remain at the scene for a couple of hours.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
At this stage it’s not believed any one was injured.
