Owners of a restaurant in Nantwich have announced they are having to close “with immediate effect”.
Love Lane Restaurant, on Love Lane, is to close after four years serving customers.
The outlet was known for serving tapas, pizzas and platters and often provided pre-show offers for those attending nearby Players Theatre events.
But a spokesperson for the venue posted last night (Sept 29): “It is with great sadness that we announce we are closing with immediate affect.
“We would like to thank you all for your custom over the past four years. We will miss you.”
Many loyal customers have expressed their sadness at the closure and wishes for the future.
One said: “Such a shame you are closing, beautiful place, loved your food in here, and your team was great. All the best for whatever the future holds for you.”
Another added: “So sorry to hear that. I know you’ve tried hard and we’ve enjoyed some lovely tapas meals at Love Lane. Best of luck for the future, whatever you do.”
The venue was formerly home to the Italian restaurant Romazzino before they moved to their current premises on High Street.
As well as specials, Love Lane hosted themed nights and musical evenings promoting local talent.
It’s not clear if the venue is up for sale or is being taken over. We have contacted the owners for an update.

That’s sad to hear that any local business is having to close, I will say though that we tried to visit the restaurant on 4 seperate occasions. Twice it was closed although technically should have been open, once they didn’t have vegan cheese which we required and another time we were turned away due to staff shortages even though there were only 2 people seated in the restaurant. We commented that we couldn’t understand how the business stayed open.
