A major A road is being closed between Stapeley and Bridgemere for five days next week to allow for improvement works, says Cheshire East highways.
The A51 London Road between Stapeley and Wybunbury/Bridgemere will be closed between October 6 and 10, from 7.30am to 5pm.
Highways says closures will be in sections as work continues, which will be weather dependant.
A highways spokesperson said: “We understand there is no right time to undertake this work.
“However, the scheme has been carefully planned to minimise any inconvenience to you and other road users.
“We occasionally change our works at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions or logistics.”
Businesses will be open as usual and highways says they will “make every effort to maintain vehicle access to property and business”.
Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
Road closure signs will be in place from Bridgemere to the south and at the junction with Peter De Stapleigh Way/Elwood Way to the north.

Possibly put a visual plan with the area effected .
