A man has now been charged in relation to a number of burglary incidents in the Nantwich area, say Cheshire Police.

Steven Hilditch, of HMP Hindley, has been charged with five counts of attempted burglary of a dwelling, one count of attempted burglary other than a dwelling, six counts of vehicle interference and one count of theft of a pedal cycle.

The 34-year-old will appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday November 20th.

The charges relate to reports of incidents in Nantwich area in June 2025.

Police received reports of a number of attempted burglaries, vehicle interferences and the theft of a pedal cycle.

Incidents relate to addresses in Meadowvale Close, Manor Road North, Mercer Way, and Vauxhall Place in Nantwich.

  1. His address was HMP Hindley? Should he not been inside those 4 walls rather than roaming round this area inflicting misery and worry?
