abuse - Crewe Green Roundabout in nantwich pic under creative commons by Derek Harper

Dear Editor,
Enough is enough!

Today we’ve had another letter from the Council saying “we are pleased to inform you we will be carrying out carriageway improvements to Mill Street Crewe” whilst at present there are still four- way traffic lights and roadworks which have been going on for the last few weeks, in Mill Street, Crewe, last year road works were carried out from early September until the end of November!

We all want our roads mended from pot holes etc. however why can’t it all be planned correctly and at one time, the latest letter is another closure for three days when last year it was closed for weeks on end, at the end of it the road certainly wasn’t free of pot holes.

The country is in enough of a mess for businesses along with the public, the council seems to have no care for their community or businesses and mention compensation they run a mile, when will their bad planning of repairs and maintenance on one of the main Roads into Crewe end?

Regards

  1. Simple – CEC can’t balance budgets, so haven’t a scooby on how to manage road works or co-ordinate.
