A Nantwich Muay Thai fighter has won the ISKA British Title aged just 15!

Callum Jones dominated every round in the martial arts contest to take the title in Coventry, giving his opponent an 8 count.

Callum, from Wistaston, is a member of the Team Diamond club which trains and is based at Regents Park in Nantwich.

His victory follows hot on the heels of fellow club member Mikhiel Babunashvilli, who won the prestigious Muay Thai Nai Khanomtom European Championship Belt in June.

Mikheil is originally from Georgia but now lives in Willaston.

Gemma Coast, who runs Team Diamond, said: “It’s a busy month for my fighters as I have Euan Brace, Ethan Casewell, James Mansell and Mikhiel fighting on a huge show in Leeds hosted by Liam Harrison of Bad Company Gym this weekend!

“Then on November 29th we have another four fighters up in Bishop Auckland including Callum fighting again, Ryan Iveson, Alex Dawson and Japhet Kabyemela.”

The club was launched in 2012 by Gemma, a former British ranked number 2 professional fighter.

Her club runs Muay Thai classes for people aged three and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from age six.

There are no membership fees and members pay as you go or monthly.

  1. Well done for all the time and dedication it must have taken to get to that level.

  2. Or perhaps we could look at these activities in a positive manner for our younger and older community. Building confidence, keeping active, making friends, getting fit and helping with the ongoing mental heath issues that people face in their day to day lives. It isnโ€™t violence, itโ€™s one of the oldest martial arts around and is a great activity for young and old people to engage in, in a controlled manner. Maybe you should come along and give it a try, I will personally give you a one to one session for free ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ’Ž

  3. Well done for kicking the crap out of someone?
    Why do we glamourise violence?
He’s a child he should be out playing with his friends.
Yes call me miserable if you like I don’t really care,
I hate violence in all it’s forms

  4. Well done Calum!!
