
Crewe Vagrants Cricket Club were among those celebrated at a league annual dinner alongside former England stars and guest speakers Darren Gough and Geoff Miller.
The Willaston-based club attended the annual North Staffordshire and South Cheshire League dinner at the Bet 365 Stadium.
Crewe Vagrants enjoyed a highly successful season, which saw thee 2nd team presented with the Division 7 League winners trophy, making it consecutive promotions for the team.
The 1st team were also promoted after finishing runners-up in Division 2.
They were presented with the Most Improved Team award for the league – a significant recognition for how the team has been led, coached and developed over the past 12 months.
The club also picked up the Division 2 Batting & Bowling individual awards for the season.
And the season also saw title winning efforts by both Women’s and Under 9s Junior teams.
A club spokesperson said: “We now start the preparations for 2026 and the challenges ahead!
“Our support and player base will be strengthened over the Winter, and we have brilliant sponsors on board, enabling us to start developing future plans for investment and sustainable growth.”
On May 3rd 2026, Crewe Vagrants will be staging a special “Evening with Michael Vaughan OBE”.
The legendary English cricketer, former captain and Ashes winner will be sharing exclusive stories and insights from his illustrious playing and punditry career.
There will also be entertainment from Jamie Sutherland, one of the UK’s top comedians and official MC and compere for Everton FC.
