A Nantwich dog behaviour and grooming business is celebrating an accolade from former Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis.
Wag-Wagatha Christie, based on Mill Street, has been named a Small Business Sunday (#SBS) Winner.
Each week, thousands of small businesses enter #SBS, and winning gives independent businesses a platform to raise their profile, connect with national networks and attend the annual SBS event in Birmingham in February.
The award marks another milestone for Wag-Wagatha Christie and its founder Vanessa Barber.
Vanessa said: “This is the icing on the cake for a very successful year in getting the message out there about behaviour-led grooming.
“It’s wonderful to see this approach gaining visibility, and I’m thrilled that #SBS has recognised the importance of grooming in a way that puts the dog’s feelings, learning, and wellbeing first.”
Wag-Wagatha Christie promotes calm, compassionate, and informed grooming practices, helping dog owners understand grooming is a key part of communication, trust, and welfare.
Robert Dyas, Small business champion, and Boux Avenue Chairman Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.
“My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings.
“The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Wag-Wagatha Christie every success.”
