One of South Cheshire’s most popular events is to return to Nantwich as the 41st annual South Cheshire Militaire ‘Universal Model Show’ takes place on Sunday February 22nd.
The show, from 10am to 5pm at Malbank School & Sixth Form College on Welsh Row, is organised by the South Cheshire Military Modelling Club.
Visitors can expect an eye-catching range of displays, from detailed military models and sci-fi creations to war games, model cars, planes, boats and impressive Lego builds.
There will also be train layouts, remote control tanks and trucks, and plenty for Star Wars fans, including special guest character appearances offering great photo opportunities.
Model makers from clubs across the country will be exhibiting their work, while an open model competition invites the public to showcase their own creations.
A busy traders’ area will offer models, tools and accessories, alongside expert demonstrations for both beginners and seasoned hobbyists.
Event organiser Steve Morris said: “The Universal Model Show is always a highlight of the year for us.
“It’s fantastic to see so many different modelling styles under one roof, and we’re proud to offer a friendly, welcoming event that families and enthusiasts can enjoy together.”
The canteen will serve hot breakfasts and lunches, and the venue is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities, with all exhibits on the ground floor. There is limited free onsite parking for visitors.
Admission is £5 for adults, £3 for seniors, £2 for children aged 5–16, and free for under-5s. Tickets are available on the door via cash, card or Apple Pay.
