Wrenbury & District Model Railway Club is planning an exhibition for July 4th.
The event will feature narrow gauge layouts from the club and from invited guests.
There will also be the club N gauge layout ‘Oldfield North’ and the recently extended 0 gauge layout ‘Wrenmere’ – now 30 feet long.
There are visiting 00 layouts ‘Jubilee Road MPD’, ‘Fantasy Land’ and ‘Snade’ plus sections of the clubs new 00 layout which is still in construction.
The club was forced to scrap their original 11-year-old 00 layout following an inspection by H & S.
A layout specifically designed for trainee drivers and point operators of all ages will be present.
And there will be sales tables of locomotives, rolling stock, buildings and track off the original layout, scenic materials and books.
All funds raised will go towards the completion of the new 00 layout.
The event will take place in Wrenbury Village Hall, on Cholmondeley Road.
There is a small free car park, wheelchair access and light refreshments are available.
It will be open from 10am to 4pm with a £4 per head admission, accompanied children will be free.
More substantial meals are available at the nearby Dusty Miller pub.
The club meets every Wednesday evening between 7pm and 10pm with visitors being most welcome.
