nantwich stand up comedy

The Very Best in Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall this Friday March 6th with four more top comedians in action.

Compering the evening will be a first time appearance from Joe McTernan.

Hailing from Edinburgh, Joe’s been on the circuit for a number of years having been tour support for both Tom Stade and Steve Hughes, along with his own Edinburgh Shows at the Fringe.

Opening up the show is Ben Norris – a man who’s been long in demand right across the circuit since he started doing stand up over 30 years ago.

Ben’s TV credits include ‘Mock The Week’, ’Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ and ‘They Think It’s All Over’.

He has three decades of tried and tested material, and is also a fantastic improviser, who can work any room.

Next on stage will be Harry Stachini.

Since leaving his job as a teacher and becoming a stand up around 10 years ago, Harry has quickly moved through the gears on the UK comedy scene.

His 2019 debut Edinburgh show garnered excellent reviews and his follow up show, 2024’s ‘Grenade’ achieved fringe sell out status across the run.

And headline act will be Terry Alderton, a stalwart of the UK comedy scene and his TV credits are plenty.

These include being host of the National Lottery, appearing in Eastenders, and on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and more.

But it’s the stage and live show where Terry is truly at home.

His manic and whirlwind set was lapped up last time he appeared in Nantwich three years ago.

The comedy show will be taking a break in April as the Civic Hall is used for the Nantwich Jazz Festival, so the next one after Friday will be in May.

Tickets are £12, available online at www.civicomedy.co.uk or by calling Nantwich Civic Hall on 01270 628633.

Table reservations are also available.
