Four people were injured in a serious two-vehicle crash on the A530 between Nantwich and Middlewich.

Fire crews, police and paramedics were called to the incident at Wimboldsley and the road was closed off in both directions for several hours.

It happened at around 3pm yesterday on the A530 Nantwich Road.

Firefighters helped paramedics to rescue one casualty from their vehicle.

A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said: “Three further casualties were also treated at the scene while fire crews have made the vehicles safe and left the incident with police.”
