The Swinging Woodpeckers Big Band is to perform in Nantwich for the first time next month.
The band has performed in a variety of venues in South Cheshire and beyond.
But on Sunday April 26 it will be entertaining an audience at Nantwich Town FC from 6pm.
Their “Big Band Nights” have proved popular in recent years combining old and new music performed by accomplished musicians and singers of the band.
Various smaller combos made up of members of the Swinging Woodpeckers have performed at a variety of Nantwich venues, but this will be the first appearance of the full Big Band in Nantwich.
The band have an excellent reputation for their performances of music by Glenn Miller, Nelson Riddle, Duke Ellington and Count Basie in addition to more modern pieces arranged for the Big Band line-up.
Richard Cluley, the band’s founder and current band leader, said: “We seem to have played all around Nantwich without actually playing in Nantwich.
“We are looking forward to putting that right with our Swing Into Spring.”
There are Early Bird discounts (available until 12th April) and group ticket discounts for anyone buying tickets.
Paying at the door will only be possible if there are any unsold tickets, and costs more than a ticket purchased in advance.
All tickets are available online from the Swinging Woodpeckers ticketing site.
