Everybody Health & Leisure has launched its annual awards to celebrate sporting and health achievements across Cheshire East.

The Everybody Awards will return on October 16th with a ceremony at Cranage Hall.

Nominations are now open for people to nominate individuals and organisations across a range of categories.

Those categories include:

Community Champion of the Year
Community Initiative of the Year
Diversity & Inclusion Award
Sports Personality of the Year
Volunteer of the Year
Lifetime Achievement Award

Everybody will also be presenting their 2026 Customer Hero and Chairman’s Award.

Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson Paralympic Athlete and crossbench peer is returning to host the Awards for another year.

Tanni has 16 Paralympic medals to her name – 11 of which are gold – and 12 world championship medals.

She said: “I’m so pleased to be returning to the Everybody Awards again this year and to be working more closely than ever with Everybody Health & Leisure.

“I am always inspired by the incredible people I get to meet and the commitment that I see to sporting achievement and community, and I can’t wait to meet this year’s finalists.

“This year’s awards will be another opportunity to celebrate and look back at the successes of the last year.”

Everybody CEO Thomas Barton added: “We are so happy to be welcoming Tanni back for another year.

“She has hosted our awards since 2019 and has become a firm favourite with staff, finalists and all attendees!

“We love this yearly opportunity to celebrate the heroes in our communities, and we can’t wait to start reading the entries for this year’s awards.”

Meanwhile, Everybody has also announced four new patrons of the charity, including Tanni Grey-Thompson.

Alongside her is Professor Steve Peters, consultant psychiatrist and bestselling author of the Chimp Paradox; Philip Bland MBE; and Zoe Davidson, real assets advisory partner leading on place-based development projects at Deloitte.
