After another incredible goalscoring season, Amanda Fallon claimed the “Top Scorer” prize and she also completed a hat-trick of awards by winning the “NTISA Player of the Season” and “Manager’s Player of the Season”.

The “Manager’s Young Player of the Season” went to Amber Mayer.

The “NTISA Golden Moment” award went to the Levi Lander and Meg Ragdale goals that helped the Dabbers seal the league title with victory over Manchester Laces.

There was also recognition for Wayne Hatton as “Supporter of the Season” and Staci & Myles Hocknell who won the renamed “Richard Embley Award for Outstanding Contribution” as admins of the women’s social media pages.

There were also awards on the night for the Women’s Development team as a sign of the growing pathway for women’s and girls football at the club.

The awards came six days after they were able to lift their league trophy following a 5-3 post-season friendly win over Rochdale.

Nantwich Women’s manager Dan Mellor said: “Lifting the trophy was a special moment for everyone involved with the club and I thought the players showed real character to then go and put in another strong performance in the friendly.

“To win against a good Rochdale side says a lot about their mentality and standards.

“We were wanting to lift the trophy after a win and the girls went out and played well and delivered once more.

“Over the course of the season, the players have been outstanding. Their commitment, consistency and togetherness have been there from day one and they’ve fully deserved the success they’ve achieved.

“They’ve set a high bar for themselves and for the club and I couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve delivered.

“This is a group that always wants to improve and keep pushing, so we’ll enjoy this moment, the players will have a nice long break and we’ll take some to reflect on what we’ve achieved and start to plan for next season.”
