Big Stapeley Walk

Intrepid parents, family members, teachers and possibly pupils will be taking on The Big Stapeley Walk on June 6th.

It involves fundraisers walking 21 miles from Stapeley Broad Lane Primary to Chester along the Shropshire Union Canal.

The event aims to raise sponsorship for the school to help a number of projects that will help the children grow.

The goal is to raise £2,500 and will take around 40,000 steps to complete.

Robyn Massey-Smith, of the school’s PTA, said: “Our target is to smash the amount raised in 2024 when a group of us climbed Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon in gale force winds!

“We need help to raise even more this time around.

“For some of us, this will challenge our limits as we stretch ourselves to new lengths (and about 40,000 steps!), raising awareness and funds for this brilliant cause.

“Join us for some or all of the journey. And if walking isn’t your thing, show your love for the school by giving what you can.

“Help us support our children, and set them on the path to becoming the amazing adults they can be.”

Anyone who is able to sponsor the walkers can do so by visiting their Justgiving Page here
