The Rising Sun Chef & Brewer pub in Wistaston has opened following a major six-figure refurbishment.

The venue, on Middlewich Road, is part of pub company and brewer Greene King and has undergone a “top-to-bottom renovation”.

It re-opened yesterday (June 26th).

Inside, the renovation has improved the venue with a stylish new décor, lighting and furniture.

The bar has been enhanced and the layout improved with additional seating and better spacious zones for drinkers and diners.

The Rising Sun’s garden has received investment, which includes new festoon lighting, fresh signage, upgraded outdoor furniture and increased covers to better cater to the busy summer season.

The Rising Sun invited James Hale, chairman of the Wistaston Jubilee Tennis Club, to cut the ribbon.

The pub also donated to the club as part of its efforts to support local community initiatives.

Sandra Hudson, (pictured, above) general manager at the Rising Sun, said: “The Rising Sun is a cherished local pub in the picturesque countryside here in Wistaston, and we’re proud to be a lively social hub for families, friends, dog walkers and more.

“The pub’s investment has helped to give this much-loved pub a new lease of life, and with fantastic improvements both inside and out, the team is ready to serve up brilliant experiences this summer and beyond.

“With a wonderful food and drinks menu and cosy spaces to relax, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Stop by and visit us today!”
